ANREALAGE Fall/Winter 2025: The Black Screen That Will Change Fashion Forever

What if your clothes weren’t just something you wore, but something that evolved with you? What if fashion wasn’t static, but a living, breathing extension of your emotions, your identity, your digital self?

This is the world Kunihiko Morinaga has imagined for ANREALAGE Fall/Winter 2025, presented at Paris Fashion Week. A collection that doesn’t just push boundaries, it erases them completely.

Fashion as a Living Interface

At first glance, it’s all black. A deep, infinite void. But this isn’t just fabric, it’s a screen, a blank slate for endless possibilities. In Morinaga’s vision, black isn’t the absence of color; it’s the foundation for an entirely new way of dressing.

This season, clothes don’t just exist, they react, transform, and communicate. Download a pattern, change colors in an instant, and reflect your mood in real time. The garments become a digital canvas, turning the wearer into an active participant in their own fashion narrative.

The Show: A Digital Ballet in a Gothic Cathedral

The setting? The American Cathedral in Paris is a striking contrast between centuries-old grandeur and the pulsating energy of a hypermodern future. And then, the music starts. A soundtrack composed by none other than Thomas Bangalter (yes, Daft Punk royalty), building from analog whispers to a digital crescendo, mirroring the unfolding spectacle.

The first looks step onto the runway, blocky silhouettes reminiscent of Roblox avatars, with geometric patterns glowing under projections. But this is just the beginning. What seems like static prints, woven, quilted, patchworked, soon give way to pure light.

LED textiles, embedded with 10,000+ micro RGB diodes,  flicker and shift like a high-fashion glitch in the matrix. Two models in identical black outfits walk in perfect synchronization, their garments pulsing with borders and stripes that migrate from one to the other, merging, separating, reforming in an optical frenzy of endless reinvention.

Then, the climax: a kaleidoscope explosion. Patterns dissolve into static noise, then reassemble into color bars, stained glass, digital mosaics. The entire collection syncs into one living, breathing fashion frequency. And then, black again.

The Implications: The End of Fashion as We Know It?

What ANREALAGE has done is a manifesto. The way we think about clothing is about to change forever. This isn’t just wearable tech, it’s wearable evolution.

Imagine a world where:

– Sustainability meets digital couture: instead of buying new clothes, you download them.

– Self-expression becomes limitless: your outfit shifts with your emotions, surroundings, or even the weather.

– Fashion is no longer about seasons, but moments: each second brings a new visual possibility.

ANREALAGE has opened the door to a future where your wardrobe is as dynamic as you are. And honestly? We can’t wait to step through.
