GIRLSET: The Making of Pop’s Most Captivating New Phenomenon
When you meet Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna, the first thing you notice is the pulse. There’s an undeniable, kinetic energy between them that feels less like a long-overdue conversation.
There is an ease to GIRLSET that feels increasingly uncommon in modern pop. The four women move as a unit, yet each brings a distinct perspective, creating a dynamic that is both effortless and compelling. Their music mirrors that same balance, intimate while expansive, polished and emotionally honest, capturing a generation more interested in authenticity rather than perfection. Between long studio nights soundtracked by Ariana Grande deep cuts, shared creative rituals and a chemistry that feels impossible to manufacture, GIRLSET have cultivated something that extends beyond music: a genuine sense of sisterhood.
As they continue to carve out their place within an ever-evolving industry, they seem less interested in following a blueprint than in creating one of their own. When we sat down with the group, the conversation moved between personal style (and a true love for Givenchy), creative freedom, ambition, and the importance of staying open to possibility. But one thing became clear after the first words: GIRLSET isn’t trying to be the next anyone. They’re focused on discovering just how far they can go when they refuse to place limits on themselves, and being “limitless” is the only goal that actually matters.

Since your rebirth as GIRLSET, what has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned about yourselves and as a group?Lexi: Honestly, going through a rebrand taught us so much about what we actually want. We realized that staying true to ourselves and being authentic is everything. We want to bring out that rawness in our art and just show the world what we’ve really got in store.
Your sound is such a mix of energy and melody. How has your creative process evolved, and who are you listening to right now?Lexi: Before the rebrand, we had a lot of time to just mess around and experiment with different genres to see what stuck. Sometimes one vibe would lead us into something totally different, and we’d end up blending them. Our ideas are constantly growing. We’re still so early in our careers, so we want to keep trying new things. Through it all, we’ve always looked at Ariana Grande. Her music is just incredible, lyrically and sonically. She’s such a unique reference for us. We look at different artists depending on the day, but Ariana is the one we always come back to.
You each have such different personalities. How do you keep that individual spark while staying in sync as GIRLSET?Lexi: It’s actually really satisfying how we mesh, even though we’re so different. We all come from such unique backgrounds, and that’s the cool part: everyone brings something different to the table. We have very different vibes and “auras,” so seeing it all click is beautiful. The one thing we definitely share is our drive and the love we have for each other. We have a very clear vision for where we’re going, and that’s where the harmony comes from.
You’ve become style icons in your own right. How do you approach fashion, and how does that play into the group’s look?Camila: We really care about being part of the creative process, and that definitely includes the clothes. Even though we have our own personal styles, we’re very aligned when it comes to the group. It’s about creating an identity and making the songs come to life through the aesthetics. For our next tracks, you’re going to see even more of our personal input on the fashion side, which we’re really excited about.
If you could pick one designer to collaborate with for your next comeback, who would it be?Camila: Givenchy, for sure. It just fits the vibe of our next song so well—you’ll see why soon. I’ve always felt like that brand just matches our energy perfectly.
Your connection with your fans is huge. What’s the most meaningful message you’ve ever receivedKendall: I think the most meaningful thing wasn’t even a message in words, but just the way our fans show up for us. They’ve proven they really believe in us and will stick by us through anything. That’s more powerful than anything they could write. We’re just so grateful to have earned that kind of respect from them.
Where do you go when you need to find inspiration?Kendall: I think the best inspiration comes when you actually stop working. Just resting, exploring the world, and having new experiences. It gives you the space to understand how you think and why you feel certain things. When you know yourself like that, it opens up so many more things to write about.

Can you share a behind-the-scenes moment that showed a different side of one of your groupmates?Savanna: I keep thinking about when we were filming the individual date scenes for ‘Tweak.’ They were supposed to look all romantic and teasing, but watching from the sidelines was so funny. I was trying not to distract them, but I couldn’t help it; it was just so cute and hilarious at the same time.
What’s the big dream for GIRLSET over the next five years?Camila: It’s hard to pick just one thing because we want to do it all. But definitely a world tour, meeting fans everywhere, would mean the world to us. We’re also always in the studio, so I’d love to have multiple albums out. The ultimate dream would be an album where every single song is written and produced by us.
How do you stay grounded and keep your vision clear when everything around you is changing?Lexi: Because we come from such different places, bringing it all together feels special every time. We always keep a bit of our own backgrounds in what we do, but we’re building this new path together. Our bond has only gotten stronger over time, and that’s what allows us to keep showing a more real, raw version of ourselves.
What’s the one item in your closet that always makes you feel confident?Savanna: Lately, it’s anything fur, boots, accessories—all of it. I don’t wear it every day, but I love how it elevates an outfit. Fur boots are my absolute favorite; they just make me feel more confident instantly.
What advice would you give to young women trying to follow their passions?Savanna: Just stay true to who you are and what you love. Don’t lose sight of that. No one else has your exact experiences or qualities, and that’s your biggest strength. Putting your real self into your work is what actually sets you apart.
Favorite song to perform live?Kendall: There are some unreleased songs we’re working on right now that I’m dying to perform. We’re focusing on making our performances more of a visual and sonic art piece. I already know one of the new ones is going to be my favorite, so I’ll have to go with an unreleased track for now.
What one word describes GIRLSET right now?Lexi: Limitless. We’re staying true to our art and just being the most authentic versions of ourselves. We have a vision, and we’re working toward it without letting anyone else’s standards or stereotypes get in the way. We’re not following a path; we’re making our own.

Spend time with GIRLSET, and you will feel immediately that they are only just getting started. Lexi, Camila, Kendall and Savanna approach their craft with a refreshing sense of prioritising honesty over formulas and creative instinct over expectation. There is a magnetic confidence to the way they speak about the future, in the sense of not as something to chase but as something they are actively shaping.
With new music, ambitious creative projects and their sights set firmly beyond the present moment, GIRLSET are crafting success on their own terms. Their unique feature is the balance they strike between ambition and authenticity, polish and personality. They possess something far more enduring, but a natural sense of who they are and where they want to go. The world is watching, but GIRLSET is only looking forward.
