Chelsea Loft is a 1,300-square-foot home that underwent a full renovation and reconfiguration to create an efficient, comfortable, and open environment for a young family of four. Every corner of this home is thoughtfully utilized, allowing each family member to have their own space. Marked by natural materials and minimal details, the apartment features nearly 100% reclaimed wood, from the flooring and kitchen ash cabinetry to the bathroom ceiling and a built-in sofa and storage unit in the lounge.
Designed for maximum storage, the loft boasts a vibrant cobalt and reclaimed ash wall of cabinetry which separates private and shared areas. This detailed feature is crowned by a line of steel and glass transoms, bringing natural light into every room. Doors of acid-etched glass offer quiet separation, too, while maintaining openness and continuity.
