CM: Season 9 of Shameless is coming up this September, can you tell us a little bit about your character in this season?
EK: Debbie is fighting for equal pay and is exploring her sexuality and trying to find herself. She is looking for loyalty and stability in this phase of her life!
CM: You have been in this series for about 8 years now, what is your most memorable moment shooting Shameless?
EK: Any night shoot when we’re all exhausted and caffeinated laughing and having fun! Those are always the most memorable moments.
CM: What is the fun fact about Debbie Gallagher that your fans need to know?
EK: She is a Capricorn/ Aquarius cusp.
CM: Congratulations on your new show The Conners. Can you tell us a little bit about this new spin-off series? How does it feel to be a part of this show?
EK: I’m very excited to be back and to be able to continue to tell the Conner family’s story!
CM: You’ve always been an actress ever since you’re young, and we are sure that you have grown your fan base ever since. How do you usually handle bad comments/ haters especially on your social media?
EK: I don’t feed in to the negativity. I just keep my head up and stay positive.
CM: What advice would you give your younger self?
EK: Everything will fall in to place as it should.
CM: What is next for Emma Kenney?
EK: I want to explore myself through more roles. I would like to direct and write. I am passionate about animal rights and activism and want to continue to help in any way I can.
CM: Let’s move forward to fashion, what’s your go-to outfit?
EK: I like flare pants, a dope t-shirt, and slip on loafers.
CM: What is the fashion item that you wear the most?
EK: A SCRUNCHIE, READY TO PARTY.
What is your most treasured item in your closet?
EK: My classic Chanel purse.
CM: Where do you shop your fashion item the most?
EK: Vintage stores, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Madewell, etc.
CM: Name some of your most favourite fashion designers
EK: Gucci, Vintage Lee’s jeans, Comme des Garçons, and Who What Wear from Target.
CM: Describe fashion styles that you love the most, especially when you are going for a red carpet event!
EK: I like to change it up and go for different vibes. I always go for classy and unique.
CM: Who is your fashion icon?
