Story by Editor-in-Chief Carolina Ogilaro
When AMIRI opened its first European boutique in Milan, it did more than plant a flag: it staged a collision of myth and modernity. Since Mike Amiri founded the house in Los Angeles in 2014, the label has built its language on a focused tension, California ease infused with couture-level allure, streetwise attitude translated into artisanal craft. Hand-distressed denim and stage-ready leather gave way, over a decade, to a fully articulated luxury house, stocked globally and celebrated at major fashion weeks. Milan, with its codified sense of glamour, would be the ultimate test.

The launch event, equal parts cinematic spectacle and carefully curated performance, underlined the brand’s narrative without overselling it. Candy tastings, monogrammed popcorn, cocktails nodding to Sunset Boulevard, and a vintage-style photobooth referenced Hollywood premieres, while a live illustrator transformed guests into stylized portraits, reinforcing AMIRI’s vision with fantasy and identity. Every detail was aligned with the brand’s craftsmanship and global positioning.

Later, Mike AMIRI himself hosted a following private dinner and after-party with music by PAWSA. Milan, a city synonymous with soft luxury, became a proving ground. Here, the brand demonstrated that its cinematic DNA could be chic without compromise, that West Coast glamour, when calibrated with European rigor, can not only travel but evolve. AMIRI’s Milan flagship boutique is a thoughtful expression of the brand’s vision in a European context. Its cinematic DNA and meticulous craftsmanship feel entirely at home here, translating the house’s distinctive West Coast energy into the coded language of Milanese luxury with effortless assurance. Benvenuto a casa AMIRI!
