PSYCHIC FEVER: The Rising Heat of J-Pop’s Future
In the ever-competitive world of Japanese pop, few groups have managed to captivate the global stage with the same intensity as PSYCHIC FEVER—a group that has emerged not just chasing trends but creating them. PSYCHIC FEVER, the electrifying ensemble from the iconic EXILE TRIBE family, is rewriting the playbook of modern music with their unparalleled blend of raw talent, innovation, and emotional resonance. Comprising Tsurugi, Ryoga Nakanishi, Ren, Jimmy, Kokoro Kohatsu, Ryushin Handa, and Weesa, this seven-member powerhouse ignites a cultural movement.
What sets PSYCHIC FEVER apart is their audacity to push boundaries. Each member is a world of creativity that makes the group extraordinary in their collective passion and individuality. Tsurugi’s bold choreography electrifies the stage, while Ryoga’s lyrical genius crafts narratives that resonate deeply. Ren’s dynamic vocals, Jimmy’s creative ingenuity, Kokoro’s magnetic presence, Ryushin’s emotional depth, and Weesa’s soulful artistry come together to create a sonic experience that is as transformative as it is unforgettable in a seamless fusion that defies convention. Their music pulses with energy, their lyrics speak truths, and their performances leave audiences breathless.
But beyond the glitz and glamour lies a deeper story, one of resilience, brotherhood, and a shared dream to transcend borders and connect hearts worldwide. PSYCHIC FEVER isn’t just about the music; they’re about the moments, the message, and the magic that stays with you long after the final note fades.
We caught up with them ahead of their US Tour and their exciting SXSW debut in March, the members shared their journey, challenges, and vision for a future that knows no boundaries. Here’s an exclusive look into what fuels the fire behind the fever.
Your group, PSYCHIC FEVER, has quickly become a powerhouse in the industry. What has been the driving force behind your rapid rise to fame?
TSURUGI:I believe it’s because we’ve stayed united as a group despite our differences. Our team is made up of individuals with unique qualities, and I think the variety of ways we express ourselves through music is what has allowed us to reach and connect with so many people.
RYOGA:Thankfully, the song “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” has helped PSYCHIC FEVER reach people all over the world. I believe this is not only due to our own efforts but also because of the incredible support from our fans. It’s also the strength of our group and the uniqueness of each member that plays a key role in this journey.
REN:I think it was the influence of Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY. People from overseas listen to our songs usually, but in the case of Just Like Dat, more overseas fans responded. Also, we came up with a lot of ideas to make the momentum bigger.
JIMMY:I think it is the strength of each member’s personality. We have trained our skills at EXPG( LDH’s dance school) since we were very young. After forming the group in 2019, each of us dedicated ourselves to honing our skills, growing stronger and more refined before making our debut in 2022.
KOKORO:I think it all started with the lead song “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” from “99.9 Psychic Radio” released in January 2024. I am confident that this song was made known to people all over the world because of the popularity of the song on TikTok!
RYUSHIN: We have made it this far because of the support of everyone around us, especially ForEVER! My family and all the other members are the reason why I can work harder and keep going!
WEESA: I think the power of social media is extreme. I really never imagined that it would be so powerful. It has helped people from many countries. I have never been to people who don’t know us to be aware of us.
Each of you brings something unique to the table. How do you balance individuality while maintaining cohesion as a group?
TSURUGI: We believe that when we come together as a group, the psychic fever is incredibly powerful, and we understand how essential that is. While we love and value ourselves as individuals, we also have a deep appreciation for the strength and unity of our group.
RYOGA: In my opinion, the first thing to do is communicate. Then, believe in yourself and trust in your team. I believe this is the key. We are a unique group, and I believe that’s what makes each of us so special. We value each person’s ideas and opinions, as they are essential to our growth and creativity.
REN:We are seven people who are all very different in appearance and personalities, but I think the most important thing is to respect each other, our dreams and goals. We respect each other because we believe that we can become a bigger group by helping each other out by utilizing our strengths to cover others’ weaknesses.
JIMMY: Though each of us has our own personality, we have known each other since we were young, so I feel that our group is naturally united through friendship and bonding. We always respect each member’s opinion and imagine what kind of approach each of us can take to create a good effect for the group.
KOKORO:We had attended a dance school called EXPG STUDIO and had worked hard together for a long time. During the COVID pandemic, we lived in the same dormitory and were able to improve our skills and grow in a good balance while respecting each other, I believe that this was further accelerated during my Musha Shugyo (hard training in Japanese) in Thailand as well.
RYUSHIN: I believe it’s our constant togetherness that keeps us going strong! Despite our different personalities, we naturally stick together and support one another.
WEESA: In a good sense, everyone understands their own position and how to express themselves, so I don’t think there are any conflicts. I don’t think we keep a balance intentionally, but rather we maintain unity as a group out of necessity.
Can you tell us about a moment in your career that truly made you feel proud to be a part of PSYCHIC FEVER?
TSURUGI: I focus on doing what the other members can’t, and vice versa. I feel a great sense of pride whenever I contribute to the overall essence of PSYCHIC FEVER!
RYOGA: It was when we debuted. Since we were formed in 2019, it took us three years to finally debut. It wasn’t just about fun; we went through many difficulties and frustrations along the way. We are here today because all the members overcame these challenges together. I truly believe that it’s because we supported each other through those tough times that we are here now. So, the moment we were able to debut as PSYCHIC FEVER, I was filled with gratitude. I’m so gladto have made my debut as part of PSYCHIC FEVER.
REN: It was when we performed Beatbox on our solo tour this year. I have performed in many places before, but there were times when things didn’t go so well. However, since I became a member of PSYCHIC FEVER, I have been practicing, watching videos, going to competitions, etc to improve. I was inspired a lot by the beatbox performance, so I was very pleased with the response and the cheers from the fans who came to see the performance. I received compliments from the members, which gave me the energy to work even harder.
JIMMY:Standing on stage for our first tour, I felt an overwhelming happiness to perform alongside these six incredible members! It was such an emotional moment that I nearly shed a tear.
KOKORO:Whenever I sense the vast potential of our music, I feel proud that it’s something uniquely ours as a group. I believe it’s the diversity of our roots and personalities that gives us explosive power when we come together to focus on one goal.
RYUSHIN: The encounters with various people. I am proud of the fact that we have been able to meet so many people not only in Japan but also overseas!
WEESA: I believe that every time we perform, whether it’s for a large audience or even just one person, it’s a moment of pride. Being a member of PSYCHIC FEVER fills me with gratitude and honor.
Your music has such a strong blend of powerful energy and deep emotion. How do you approach creating music that resonates with so many?
TSURUGI: We will give our best in everything we do! There will be no hesitation or compromise—we will push forward with determination! I will pursue my goals wholeheartedly, for my fans, and myself.
RYOGA:Of course, through our experiences, we want to create a message that listeners can relate to. We hope that ourmusic will bring dreams, hope, vitality, and energy to everyone who listens. Above all, we hope that when you see our performance, you feel as happy as possible.
REN:First of all, when recording, I try to think about how I want my music to be conveyed to the listeners, and I try to be creative in the way I express myself. Recently, I also did the part for vocals, so I go to karaoke to practice expressing my emotions more richly.
JIMMY:We strive to bring our lyrics to life in an authentic, relatable way, drawing from our own experiences. For example, the feelings of pursuing love or someone you love in your life, or the desperation of pursuing your dreams, we try to make it possible for many people to listen to our songs and compare them to their feelings.
KOKORO:As a vocalist, I approach my work with the goal of being liked by everyone. In the beginning, I expressed my ego as I felt it, but now I focus on creating a stable and calm presence within the group every time we perform. Of course, I’m still in the process of trial and error, so I anticipate that this approach will also evolve again in the future.
RYUSHIN: The lyrics are linked to our feelings and the environment around us, and some parts reflect these aspects, so I think there are elements that the audience can feel when they see us. We also strive to deliver a message and perform in a way that resonates with people of all generations!
WEESA:I try to create music that is not only trendy but also unique to PSYCHIC FEVER and what everyone is looking for.
Who are some of your biggest musical influences, and how do they shape your sound as PSYCHIC FEVER?
TSURUGI:EXILE is the senior group of our company, and their music has touched countless people, surrounding them with love. I grew up admiring their work and learned both dance and music at the dance school, EXPG, which they established. All of the members of PSYCHIC FEVER, including myself, learned at this dance school.
RYOGA:It’s EXILE. They played a significant role in shaping the current boy group style. They are the great predecessors of PSYCHIC FEVER. My father loves them, and it was through his influence that I began dancing. From there, I developed a dream of becoming an artist. Dancing is such an integral part of our performances, and it’s something I truly hold dear.
REN: It’s Koji Tamaki, a singer in Japan. I have been listening to his songs since I was in junior high school, and I am still moved by the way he sings with his soul. I am very happy to be able to sing, and I would like to deliver songs that can express emotions as richly as he does.
JIMMY: I’ve been inspired by many artists, both in Japan and internationally. However, as an artist, my greatest influences have been my seniors at our company, such as EXILE and J Soul Brothers III. Our company, LDH, stands for Love, Dream, and Happiness, and their work rooted in these values was a major driving force during my childhood. I aspire to follow in their footsteps and become someone who can inspire dreams and hopes in others through music and dance.
KOKORO: This is Bruno Mars. He’s one of the vocalists who deeply inspires me and serves as a reference, both in terms of his singing and his movements. Being a fan of Black culture, I admire how he excels in the R&B style of singing and how he brings a soulful, emotional depth to his music that connects with listeners.
RYUSHIN:For me, it’s J Soul Brothers Ⅲ! They were the first artists that I performed as a support dancer for, and they gave me the dream of becoming an artist, so they are the most influential artists in my life.
WEESA:I got started in music with Michael Jackson. Now I am influenced by many artists, so I am always looking at different artists and their works.

Dance is such an integral part of your performances. How do you ensure that your choreography complements the emotional depth of your songs?
TSURUGI:When we hear music, our bodies instinctively move. Dance is always in our minds. The connection between emotion and music is as natural as breathing because music is an integral part of our lives!
RYOGA:I’ve been dancing since I was 4 years old. But for me, it’s not just about dancing; I dance from the heart and enjoy it deeply. I value not only the skill but also the way we can connect with people as expressive performers. We are always researching not just how to improve our skills, but also how to captivate and engage people as performers.
REN: I think it’s a gradual transition between putting in and taking out that matters. I am always conscious of this because I can show the range of my dance and draw the audience in by relaxing my energy rather than putting it in all the time.
JIMMY: I strive to convey my emotions through facial expressions and vocal inflections during performances. When creating choreography, I pay close attention to the tone and lyrics of the song, ensuring the movements align seamlessly with its mood and message.
KOKORO: I am conscious of making the members who are singing stand up, and I perform with attention to the tips of my fingers. However, it is difficult to keep dancing and singing for about two hours in a live performance, and this is also a challenge for us now.
RYUSHIN:We all love dancing, so there is a natural emotional passion that comes out of it, and we also practice a lot with the choreographer during rehearsals.
WEESA:I try to make music videos and live performances dynamic and catchy enough to make everyone want to dance along.
The global music scene is constantly evolving. How do you stay ahead of trends while remaining true to your style and identity?
TSURUGI: In my opinion, trying to force a trend rarely works. The key is to stay true to myself and embrace originality while staying true to my own authentic self. I also believe it’s crucial to be exposed to a wide range of entertainment, as it broadens perspective and inspires creativity.
RYOGA: Trends are everywhere, especially on streaming services. I listen to music on these platforms and search for new trends on social networking sites. I’m always learning and keeping myself updated, but I also strive to find new ideas based on my own experiences and understanding of the current landscape.
REN:I am trying to deliver something in BEATBOX as well as in singing, rapping, and dancing. Little by little, BEATBOX is becoming famous, so I would like to deliver something completely new as one of my performances.
JIMMY: We stay true to our passions and roots, focusing on what genuinely resonates with us. We believe that whatfeels fresh and exciting to us now will also resonate as something new and inspiring to the world. With this mindset, we actively embrace new challenges.
KOKORO:Right now, we are constantly striving to keep our antenna tuned to what we can share with the world. In this process, we are honing our individuality through dedicated practice and self-improvement.
RYUSHIN: I stay ahead of trends while remaining true to my style and identity! I don’t mean that I don’t follow trends completely, but I believe that the world is a place where trends change quickly, so I try to be flexible about what we want to do and what people want us to do.
WEESA:I believe that I am forming my identity clearer day by day. Of course, the trends are important, but we also value the individuality of each person and what they like.
PSYCHIC FEVER is known for its dynamic stage presence. What goes into preparing for such high-energy performances?
TSURUGI:Practice is key! I’m always focused on my performance and train every day. Going to the gym is always at the top of my to-do list.
RYOGA:I am very glad to hear that kind of compliment. Preparing for such high-energy performances requires daily physical development. While training is essential, I also prioritize taking care of my body by eating a healthy diet. Maintaining good physical health is crucial for sustaining the energy needed to perform at our best.
REN:Watching videos of your favorite artists is important. Listening to my favorite songs and watching them perform keeps me in the mood and motivated. Also, during rehearsals, I try to make a performance that will please everyone by practicing with the members, pursuing the dance style, practicing to get the choreography right, discussing to match the atmosphere, and so on.
JIMMY:We pay a lot of attention to training and diet. Each member has a different style, I have been particularly carefulwith my diet, and I control wheat, fat, and carbohydrates daily to regulate my condition.
KOKORO:Daily practice is essential, but for me personally, it’s the time when forming a circle before the performance that truly sets the tone. I believe that the routine we all do together as a group before stepping on stage plays a crucial role in flipping the switch and focusing entirely on the performance.
RYUSHIN:The more I practice, the more energy I get. Also, it’s because of everyone who supports us that I am motivated to do my best, and I want to give the best performance possible!
WEESA: I think our team members’ height is one of our strengths, and we use it to our advantage in our performances.
Beyond music, you are a creative force. Are there other artistic ventures you would like to explore as a group or individually?
TSURUGI:It’s an actor! I’ve always been a fan of visual storytelling and watch a lot of films and dramas. They’ve inspired me greatly in my work as PSYCHIC FEVER. I would especially love to explore the world of action films!
RYOGA: As an individual, I would love to do DJ-ing. I’m also skilled at producing music, and I would like to leverage that talent in the future. I want to turn it into one of my strengths and use it to my advantage.
REN:Now that I’m practicing beatbox, I’d like to utilize this individuality while raising the level and conveying the appeal of beatbox to people all over the world.
JIMMY: I’ve always had a strong interest in fashion . Currently, I serve as the director and designer of the apparel brand P.C.F APPAREL DEPARTMENT, and I’m eager to expand its reach globally. I also have a passion for modeling and would love opportunities to work on the runway or feature in fashion magazines.
KOKORO:Everything I do is concentrated on the group activity. Our goal is to grow to a point where we can even write our own lyrics in the future.
RYUSHIN:I’ve been dancing since I was little, so I’d like to hold my own stage show someday. I’d like to create a stage just for dancing, and since I also rap, I’d like to work on songwriting someday as well!
WEESA: I love art and usually paint as a hobby. In addition, I designed some PSYCHIC FEVER merchandise! I would love to hold my own art exhibition someday
You’ve gained a huge following across different countries. How do you connect with fans from diverse cultures and backgrounds?
TSURUGI:I study the countries I visit. I believe that understanding the culture, more than anything else, is important! I want to connect with many people by loving the country, people, and culture.
RYOGA:We hold regular fan meetings in various countries. Not just live performances, but we truly value the opportunity to communicate directly with our fans. We also actively use social media to constantly share various updates and information with you.
REN:I think that communication in the local language is the most important. I believe that the best way to deliver our performance to the audience at a live concert is to convey our thoughts and feelings to them in the local language.
JIMMY: I try to communicate with everyone as closely as possible through social media platforms and by having in-person meet-and-greet sessions. I try to learn local greetings and simple words so that I can have more conversations with as many people as possible.
KOKORO:No matter where I am, social networking sites are where I feel most connected to people. Whenever I’m invited to perform at a concert, I make an effort to communicate in the language of the country I’m visiting, especially during MC sessions, where I try to speak the local language as much as possible. Ultimately, I believe music is the most universal way to connect and communicate.
RYUSHIN:I try to communicate with them through social media because we can’t stay long in one country. When I visit other countries, I try to learn the local culture, and language, and have local food!
WEESA:I think the best way to connect with people all over the world is through music. Music can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of language, so I hope people can enjoy it together at our live shows.
The bond between all of you is clearly strong. How does this camaraderie help you all push each other creatively?
TSURUGI:In my team, each of us brings creativity to a wide range of genres. We share a strong bond, and through constant observation and communication, we work together to improve and elevate our skills.
RYOGA:I have known most of the members since we were very young. Because of this, our relationship is like that of brothers and family. We share a deep bond with one another. This closeness allows us to be creatively connected, and it fuels our passion and enthusiasm as we work together.
REN:I think it affects our performance. We have known each other for a long time, so I think we can help and support each other.
JIMMY:I think it is because of our long relationship that we can frankly express our opinions and think together without being overly cautious, even when we each have different ideas.
KOKORO:Because of our strong personalities, each member has skills that is better than me, and for me, this is a good catalyst, and I think that my desire not to lose leads me to improve even more.
RYUSHIN:We try to discuss everything daily! At first, when my team was formed, I couldn’t say what I wanted to say, but now everyone can speak up. I feel it is wonderful to have a relationship where we can say things to each other, and I think that has led to the growth of our team’s strength.
WEESA:We each have different hobbies and different tastes in music, so we discover new things in our daily conversations!
In a world full of social media and constant change, how do you maintain focus on your artistry without getting distracted by outside pressures?
TSURUGI:It’s important to reflect on myself and understand where I stand. The equally important thing is recognizing where I am directing my energy and how I’m living my life. If your goals and dreams stay the same, you will remain the same.
RYOGA:Of course, we feel the pressure, but I believe it’s important to stay focused on our goals and keep pushing forward. I also think it’s essential to enjoy the challenging moments along the way.
REN:I think the key is to keep believing in myself. No matter what happens, I have a dream that I have always envisioned, so I think the most important thing is to believe in myself and work hard sincerely to achieve the goal.
JIMMY:My deep love for music and dance is at the core of who I am. They are my truest forms of self-expression, which is why I prioritize enjoyment over external evaluation or pressure. While I perform for the audience, I also perform for myself. This balance allows me to stay true to my originality and beliefs, standing confidently on stage without compromise.
KOKORO:We must never lose sight of the core of PSYCHIC FEVER.Since we’re all working toward the same dream, I believe we’ll stay grounded and won’t lose our way in the future.
RYUSHIN:I think it’s important to have my own opinions. We live in a world where we can hear many opinions in many places, so I think it’s important to have my own opinions and what you want to do while valuing the opinions of others!
WEESA:I don’t feel any pressure because I just love music and express what I want to express.
What’s the most challenging part of being a part of such a high-profile group, and how do you handle it?
TSURUGI: It’s about feeling the pressure. I want to meet the expectations of my fans, so there are times when I feel the weight of that pressure. However, I’m grateful for it because it motivates me, and makes performing even more enjoyable.
RYOGA:It’s a work in progress, and I’m always thinking about how to make PSYCHIC FEVER even more well-known from this point onward. It’s something I think about every day.
REN:We are trying to get more people to listen to our music. It is not enough to just keep writing songs, we have many opportunities to be known through social media, events, etc., So we are trying to find ways to make people aware of us.
JIMMY:We have always been working with the same mindset, so we have never found it too challenging. If we continue to have fun and enjoy ourselves and our fans to the fullest, I think we will naturally get good reactions.
KOKORO:I don’t feel that we’re a well-known group yet, but since all the members have such a strong presence, I make a conscious effort not to get overshadowed in my performance—though it’s a bit of a fun challenge, lol!
RYUSHIN:I have never thought it challenging. Every time the more I become famous, I become happier. I hope to be more famous and one day become a team that everyone in the world knows about.
WEESA:I think that the more people listen to our music, the more we get more attention and opinions. I believe it becomes increasingly challenging to meet public expectations during those times.
You’ve had so many milestones so far, what’s next for PSYCHIC FEVER? What kind of legacy do you hope to build?
TSURUGI:Our goal is to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Global 200. Achieving this would be a testament to how our activities have connected with people across many countries around the world.
RYOGA:We recently held our first ASIA TOUR, and next year, we’re planning our first U.S. TOUR. My near-term goal is to go on a WORLD TOUR.
REN:It’s a world tour. We had the Asia tour this year and a US tour is coming next year. As we are getting more opportunities to meet people overseas, we will continue to approach people overseas and prepare well.
JIMMY:We’re determined to achieve a successful world tour in the near future! One of our key goals is to make it onto the charts, with our sights set on reaching number one on Billboard!
KOKORO:My goal is to share my performances with audiences in many countries I have yet to visit while continuing to build my career in Japan. I also aspire to create trends that resonate with people and expand our reach to many times more fans than we have today.
RYUSHIN:Our next goal is to have a successful US tour in February! This will be an important step for us, and I think the upcoming tour will affect our activities in 2025, so we will do our best with a lot of energy.
WEESA:It’s a world tour. Now we’re preparing for our first US tour, so I think our next goal is a world tour.
How do you want your music to impact the listeners who hear it for the first time? What emotions or messages do you hope they walk away with?
TSURUGI: We would be delighted to inspire and motivate them. Our music explores a variety of themes, and we hope that by listening, you’ll be filled with a sense of happiness and positivity.
RYOGA:First of all, we want people to enjoy our music. Our music is not confined to any single genre; we offer a variety of styles, and we hope you’ll find a song that resonates with you.
REN:We hope the listeners will be able to experience the entertainment and musical possibilities of PSYCHIC FEVER when they listen to our music. Our songs include love songs, happy songs, cool songs, and many others. As indicated, each song has a completely different atmosphere! Our goal is to create songs that no one will ever get tired of listening to, and we hope that those who like our songs will like us even more after seeing our performance
JIMMY:I hope they get courage, positivity, and a happy mindset from our performance.
KOKORO: First and foremost, we want people to feel, “This team is different from the rest.” We believe that creating that impression will give them a reason to return, and we’ll do our very best to make sure they feel that way every time.
RYUSHIN:I hope listeners simply enjoy listening to our music! Some songs have totally different images and meanings, but since we are having fun creating them, we would like to create songs that will make you forget about something unpleasant or make you smile naturally when you hear our songs!
WEESA:I hope people enjoy our music in their own way. We don’t think we are forcing them to do anything, and we hope they find your own way to enjoy our music.
Can you share a behind-the-scenes story from one of your tours or music videos that was particularly meaningful or funny?
TSURUGI:During the “HEAT” tour, we had a DJ RYOGA part, where we got to see a new side of him! He’s always so cool, so it was surprising to witness his more energetic and aggressive side. The members were also dancing in the backstage area during the part, which was absolutely hilarious!
RYOGA:One of the funniest moments was during the DJ corner when I accidentally pressed the wrong button, and a different song was about to play than the one I intended. Luckily, the volume fader wasn’t turned up, so my mistake went unnoticed!
REN:Our latest song “TALK TO ME NICE feat. TAMP” is a music video that expresses us in a completely new way, and you can feel our entertainment even more in the atmosphere of the video and the choreography. Especially, there is a scene where all the members shout into the microphone, which we are used to doing, so we were able to do it well!
JIMMY:During our latest Asia tour “HEAT”, usually reserved RYOGA showed an unprecedented level of excitement during the DJ part! It was unexpected, refreshing, and incredibly entertaining!
KOKORO:Last year, I had the chance to invite my parents to our first tour, “P.C.F” in 2023. It was a dream come true for me, and I was so happy that I even shared my feelings about it during the MC. I want to keep growing and reach new heights so I can give back in a way that only I can.
RYUSHIN:This year we had an Asia tour and each show had a different stage configuration so it was a difficult part of the tour, but I think it also helped us to grow! The seating was also different, so we had to think about how to make it easier to see to the back of the stage, not from our perspective, but from the audience’s first!
WEESA: I enjoy collaborating with other artists as a group because I get to see their particular style of expression. As an individual artist, I would like to collaborate with various artists in the future.
Collaboration is often a key to success in the entertainment industry. Are there any artists or creators you’re particularly excited to work with in the future?
TSURUGI:It’s Usher. I have been practicing dance with his music for a long time, so his music is my youth. I would like to make a song that everyone dances to with him! The next one is Pharrell Williams. His versatility never ceases to amaze me. When he and I collaborate, we will be able to bound to have an unexpected psychic fever.
RYOGA:It’s David Guetta. I started DJing after watching him perform. I’d love to take my DJ skills to the next level, and it’s a dream of mine to have a session with him someday to learn and grow as an artist.
REN:The artist I would like to collaborate with is Keshi. I really like his voice and the style of his songs, and he has something that we don’t have, so if we were to collaborate, I think it would be great. I am also a vocalist, so I hope that by collaborating with him, I would be stimulated and it would be a time that would lead to the next step.
JIMMY:I’d love to collaborate with Korean artists like LOCO, SIK-K, and DPR LIVE. I’m also inspired by international artists like POST MALONE and SKRILLEX and would be thrilled to work with them.
KOKORO:Bruno Mars, of course. I still feel a bit intimidated by him, but I dream of the day when I can stand on stage next to him. I would also love to collaborate with YOASOBI, who opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of music during the pandemic.
RYUSHIN:I would love to work with HAON! I like K-HIPHOP and listen to them often, and I really like HAON’s musicality and songs, so I think it would be interesting to do something together.
WEESA:I would love to collaborate with Dina Ayada. As an artist with shared Moroccan roots, I feel a deep sense of kinship with her. I also admire her music, and it would be an honor to collaborate with her.
Fans are an essential part of your journey. Can you share a memorable fan interaction that had a lasting impact on you and your members? And how important is their support to you?
TSURUGI:“Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” has been shared globally by our fans, and we’ve been able to interact and communicate with them through social media! We’re truly happy and grateful for this connection. With the unwavering support of our fans, we’ve had the opportunity to perform all around the world. We truly value and care about our fans.
RYOGA: The support of our fans is incredibly powerful. It’s because of your support that we are able to perform live and share our music. I am truly grateful to all of you. Every moment is a great memory, but what stood out the most was seeing the little kids dancing so enthusiastically to our moves.
REN:The live show is the best. Seeing fan’s voices and faces at our live shows is the source of our power. We also read messages from our fans every day, and they always give us energy!!
JIMMY:Since our formation, fans have been there for us, offering unwavering emotional support over the years. We’re deeply grateful for everything they’ve done for us. To honor this bond, we created the fan name ForEVER—a symbol of our shared gratitude and the joy we hope to share together forever.
KOKORO: They are like family, a constant presence that has been with us and will continue to support us. They are irreplaceable and provide us with strength. It’s because of ForEVER that we’re able to carry out our activities in this way, and we will continue to give our best to share love, dreams, and happiness with all of you.
RYUSHIN:I get letters from ForEVERs, they make me very happy! These days, we know that we can send anything on our cell phones, but I believe that handwritten letters really touch my heart and help me a lot! I still keep them in a safe place!
WEESA:It is a real pleasure for me to hear our music and to see the videos and reactions of people dancing to our songs on social networking sites.
Lastly, what’s the best advice you would give to someone looking to follow in your footsteps and make a name for themselves in music and performance?
TSURUGI:Always have fun and be the person you truly want to be! By doing so, you’ll find that there are many people in the world who will support you. I’ll prove this through my own journey! Let’s make our dreams come true together!
RYOGA:We are also just starting out, but always believe in yourself, your family, and your friends. Stay true to your dreams and go after them with everything you’ve got. Let’s make our dreams come true together, and let’s work hard, side by side!
REN:In my opinion, the most important thing is to keep trying. My father always told me that hard work never fails, and his words have guided me throughout my journey. I understand that anyone striving to achieve something will face challenges, but I firmly believe that taking action brings invaluable experiences. So, I encourage you to take that first step and give it a try.
JIMMY:I believe it’s important to enjoy what you do and stay committed to it for the long run. Even if you haven’t mastered the skills yet, the key is to take your time learning and discovering yourself. That journey is what makes you truly unique.
KOKORO:Looking back on our journey, we realize that there have been more times when we’ve stumbled than when we’ve seen a clear, bright path. Even when we can’t see the light at the moment, we believe that the possibilities of the dreams we envision will ultimately change our lives. So, let’s embrace even the stumbling along the way and continue working toward our dreams together.
RYUSHIN:I think it’s important to have fun! We started this activity because we love dancing, singing, and rapping. Thankfully, our favorite things are connected to our work, so we are always having fun, it gives us joy to see our performance by our favorite people, and it makes us want more and more people to hear our performances and songs. I think it is important to have fun in everything we do every day!
WEESA:I think you should just pursue your music, find what you love, and try different things. Let’s work hard together!!
